Shining Bright at the Denim & Diamonds Gala: A Night of Fun, Inspiration and Giving

In the heart of our community, Absolute recently had the privilege of attending the Denim & Diamonds Gala, hosted by the esteemed Center for Adoption Support and Education (C.A.S.E.). As advocates for enhancing the well-being and permanence of children and families, C.A.S.E. stands as a beacon of support, providing adoption-competent mental health services, professional training, and driving forward through research and advocacy.

The gala was a celebration of resilience, hope, and the power of collective action. One of the highlights of the evening was the inspiring keynote address by Jessica Willis Fisher, who shared her journey, intertwined with her music and memoir, “Unspeakable.” Her words touched many hearts and reminded us of the transformative power of storytelling.

Further adding to the evening’s radiance were the remarkable stories of Zoe Evans and Kristiana Sullivan, honored as the 2024 C.A.S.E. stars. Their tales of adoption showcased the strength and beauty of the human spirit in the face of adversity.

Yet, amidst the celebration, the underlying mission of the gala remained steadfast: to support C.A.S.E. in their vital work. Through the generosity of many, an outstanding $99,000 was raised for the Fund-A-Family Scholarship. This incredible contribution will undoubtedly make a tangible difference in the lives of adoptive families, providing them with the necessary resources and support to thrive. As the evening ended, the message was clear: collective efforts can truly make a difference. Whether through financial contributions, volunteerism, or simply spreading awareness, each of us has the power to uplift and empower those in need.
